Nice places to stay. I can walk to the campus. The houses are built nicely.

I recently came across student housing that is incredibly close to colleges, beautiful open floor plans with on-site laundry, great management team, and best of all, it's affordable that they definitely need to hit these guys.

Have to say it’s the best option. Great accommodation, awesome customer service, conveniently located near school and fairly priced. During the pandemic they truly went beyond expectations and supported renters. I would highly recommend this place.

One of the best properties to live while attending school. They work with your budget. Not too expensive. Great maintenance, well kept with up to date appliances. I’ve been staying here for years.

The house itself is spacious and comfortable, the landlord is understanding, it is a comfy situation especially for students, good price too. While I was living here the house was still a work in progress. We kept having leaks till a part eventually caved in ,the landlord tried to get the continuous arising issues fixed swiftly most times, the gate wasn’t fixed till I left. The workers kept coming into the apartment mostly unannounced , when we were around and even when absent, as ladies I and my housemate frowned at this act.

For a place to live has been by far the best rental experience I ever had. I am currently renting my second property from Jamil and me and my children are very pleased. He is a great landlord and even more importantly a great friend who always goes above and beyond! The assistance he has provided and willingness to work with me on any issues has been amazing especially during these pandemic times. I highly recommend for a place to live to everyone and look forward to continuing my relationship with Jamil!

The landlord, Mr Hasan is very helpful. He goes above and beyond for all his tenants and makes sure they’re all doing fine and satisfied with his service. Come rain come sunshine, Mr. Hasan is there to help with anything. He’s the best landlord I’ve ever worked with so far.

Great Student housing, wonderful landlord. Stayed in house for two years and never had an issue that he wouldn’t handle. Highly recommended.

Great place to live

I had a very good experience with Jamil. The student house was a very fair price and the company was very responsive with maintenance request. There is also a lot of flexibility with the landlord and I appreciate he was understanding especially with the conditions the pandemic gave. Would recommend this to anyone who is looking to be close to UH or TSU

I’ve been living with this company for about a year now and I highly recommend it. They’ve been extremely gracious amongst the pandemic and the response time to maintenance request is pretty much immediate (although obviously if it’s extremely important or an easy fix it is immediate). There are several different EASY ways to pay rent via modes of payment we’re already used to.

For A Place to Live and Mr. Hasan have made my college journey so much easier. I’ve lived in their property since I was a freshman and I’m currently a senior. Mr. Hasan treats me and all his tenants like family and is so understanding and patient. He really is the best landlord ever and really works with you to make sure his tenants receive the best service possible. Safety is also something I’ve never worried about living on their property. If there happens to be something wrong with maintenance, Mr. Hasan will have it fixed ASAP. If you want an affordable place to live that’s close to the school and where you’ll be treated like family, then you should definitely contact For A Place to Live!!

Lived at the branch of residencies since 2017. Moved out to Uptown in 2020 but FAPTL was the greatest start as a student for apartment living that I could get. Jamil was an amazing property manager for both of the addresses I stayed at. Three words of description: Patient, Understanding, Prompt.

I love living here. It is such a cosy private place. The location is perfect and is walking distance from the school. If there are any issues with maintenance, it is fixed quickly so it is not an inconvenience for the resident. I have lived in multiple FAPTL housing units over the course of 3 years ,and have always had a positive experience. I would definitely recommend this place for those looking for nice quaint place to stay.

It’s been said before, but I’ll say it again. Jamil is the best landlord you will find in Texas. He’s super understanding and does his very best to work with all tenants based on their situation. I’ve never once had an issue that Jamil was helpful with. His properties are also ten times better than living on campus. Of course there will be minor problems that need fixing when renting any home, but Jamil is always prompt and professional about fixing them. Even during the peak of Covid, Jamil goes above and beyond to ensure that all of our needs are let. If I didn’t have to move to another state I’d continue business here as long as possible. It’s the best affordable housing you’ll find in Houston. Less expensive than the dorms, right next to campus, more private and spacious than on campus housing. My only regret is that I didn’t find out about ForAPlaceToLive sooner.

This apartment was the best move for me when I came to Houston! I transferred to Texas Southern University and Jamil offered nice, affordable housing for myself and countless other college students.

I have been renting with them for 2 years and I could not be any happier. The landlord really cares about his tenants and dose everything in his power to make sure we are happy and satisfied with the properties. Definitely recommend them to everyone especially if you are a student and this is your first time living off campus.
